Summit Early Learning Center
FORMERLY SMALL WORLD LEARNING CENTER
PROVIDING QUALITY CHILDCARE SINCE 1976
Summit Early Learning Center has been providing quality childcare since 1976. As a direct ministry of the Assembly at Broken Arrow, Summit ELC is more than just childcare, it is a learning center where children can grow in all areas of development. Summit ELC encourages each child to progress at his/her own pace.
Our classrooms offer enriched experiences which provide children the opportunity for active exploration. There are many opportunities for open-ended activities that pique children’s natural curiosity and engage them in the learning process. Our center provides an atmosphere that is conducive to developing the whole child, providing a solid foundation for development in the cognitive, physical, social, emotional, and spiritual content areas.
We use an integrated curriculum approach which is aligned to the Oklahoma Early Learning Guidelines. Teachers plan themes around the children’s interest and integrate the domains (math, literacy, social, science, art) into each theme. The use of integrated themes allows children to achieve higher levels of learning.
Each class also has a daily Bible lesson. The Bible lessons include songs, activities, and stories to engage children. The 2, 3, and 4-year-olds have chapel every Monday. Our 3 and 4-year-olds also have a weekly memory verse.
Summit Early Learning Center is dedicated to providing developing young children the stability they deserve in a loving environment parents can trust.
