What is baptism?

Buried. Raised. Made new.

When you're baptized, you're going public with a decision you've already made. Jesus was baptized to set the example, so we follow Him into the water — not to earn anything, but to show what's already true.

Being lowered under the water pictures the old life going under with Jesus. Coming back up pictures the new life He raised you into. It's a moment, but what it points to lasts forever.

If you've trusted Jesus as your Savior, baptism is your next step — no matter your age or how long you've followed Him.

We've got you covered

Shirts and towels are provided. Just bring a dark t-shirt and shorts or pants to wear underneath, and a change of dry clothes for after.

Baptisms happen at both Rose District (Saturdays, 6PM) and South Campus (Sundays, 9AM & 10:45AM). Register and we'll follow up with the details.

Questions people usually ask

Because Jesus told us to, and because He did it Himself first. It's not what saves you — your faith in Jesus already did that — but it's the step He asked every follower to take, and it deepens your own faith along the way.

It's a public declaration of three things: you're a follower of Jesus, you're starting a new life in Him, and you're now part of a family — this church family included.

We baptize believers — people old enough to personally trust Jesus for themselves. If your first baptism happened before you could make that decision, we'd love for you to take this step now as your own choice.

Yes. If your child understands what it means to trust Jesus and can talk about that decision in their own words, we'd be honored to baptize them. Reach out and our team will walk through it with you.

Baptism is for those who can personally profess faith in Jesus, so we don't baptize infants. If you'd like to dedicate your baby — committing as a family to raise them in faith — we'd love to talk with you about that instead.
