Water Baptism | Sunday, September 23

WHY BE BAPTIZED?

After repenting of one’s sins and receiving Jesus Christ’s gift of salvation, The Assembly encourages obedience to Jesus’s command in Matthew 28:18-19 to be baptized in water.

Romans 6:3-4 explains water baptism is a symbolical act of a believer’s old sinful life dying with Christ and a new spiritual life with Christ beginning as the believer raises out of the water.

Therefore, if you have made a commitment to follow Jesus Christ and desire to live according to Scripture, it’s time for you to make your faith public through water baptism!

WHEN IS THE NEXT BAPTISM?

The next available water baptisms will be held Sunday, September 23, during our 9am and 10:45am services. Please arrive 45 minutes early for a brief meeting in the upstairs Resource Room.

WHAT DO I BRING?

Bring a dark colored t-shirt and dark colored pants or shorts to be baptized in. Also bring a towel and any items you’ll need afterward – comb, hairbrush, hair dryer, etc.
